Which products are affected?

MAG|Coupler™ magazine couplers and other products classified as firearm-related accessories regulated under California law are not available for direct shipment to California end users.

Products not subject to these regulations remain available for direct purchase where lawful.

Back to questions

Why can’t these items be shipped directly to California?

California Assembly Bill 1263 (AB 1263) imposes licensing, identity verification, recordkeeping, and transaction requirements on remote sales of certain firearm-related products.

At this time, we are not aware of a compliant way to sell these products directly to California consumers while meeting all statutory and practical requirements. As a result, fulfillment is limited to licensed California FFL dealers.

For additional background, the California Rifle & Pistol Association (CRPA) has published a third-party discussion featuring Matt Cammaro of Michel & Associates explaining the challenges created by AB 1263:

Back to questions

How does the California FFL order request process work?

California customers may submit a request to purchase MAG|Coupler™ products for shipment to a licensed California FFL dealer.

Before submitting a request, customers must confirm their selected dealer is willing to receive the shipment.

After submission, we verify the FFL dealer and review the requested items. If approved, we issue an invoice to the customer for online payment.

Orders ship only after payment is completed and are shipped directly to the approved FFL dealer. The ship-to FFL dealer cannot be changed after payment is made.

Back to questions

What if my preferred dealer is not listed?

If your preferred California FFL dealer is not currently listed, they may apply to become an authorized dealer:

We are actively expanding our California dealer network.

Back to questions

What if my selected FFL dealer won’t accept the shipment?

Customers are responsible for coordinating with their selected FFL dealer before submitting an order request.

If a dealer is unwilling or unable to receive the shipment, the order may be canceled prior to payment. Reshipment to a different dealer is not guaranteed.

Back to questions

Are California FFL orders returnable or refundable?

No. Due to AB 1263 requirements and the nature of FFL-assisted fulfillment, all California FFL orders are final once approved and paid.

We are not able to accept returns, exchanges, or rerouting of shipments after payment has been completed.

Back to questions

Does AB 1263 affect ownership or make couplers illegal?

No. AB 1263 does not change the legality of owning or possessing magazine couplers in California.

The law regulates sales channels and transaction methods, not ownership.

Back to questions

What does AB 1263 actually regulate?

AB 1263 primarily regulates remote and online sales of certain firearm-related products and the compliance obligations placed on sellers.

Back to questions

Will you offer direct online sales to California customers?

We periodically evaluate whether compliant options exist. As of now, we are not aware of a compliant method to sell these products directly to California end users.

Until that changes, all California fulfillment for regulated products remains FFL-only.

Back to questions

Can I ship to a non-California address?

Orders are evaluated based on the shipping destination. If the address is outside California and the product is lawful there, the order may proceed.

Back to questions

Where can I learn more about the law?

The California Rifle & Pistol Association (CRPA) has published an informational bulletin explaining AB 1263:
