Neoprene Hanger Coating - Mil-Spec M23053/1 - Qty. 8

Included are eight (8) high-quality Neoprene barrel-protection shrink wraps for use on the hangers of your new Armory Rack. Neoprene is highly resistant to fluids, solvents, and abrasion, making it ideal for this application. Each piece is pre-cut to the correct length for the 2-, 4-, 6-, and 8-Gun Racks. Customers will need to install these shrink wraps on their own.

When used together with the red barrel cap, Neoprene shrink wraps are suitable for firearms .30 caliber / 9mm and larger. They are not compatible with .22 caliber firearms.

Armory Racks® Neoprene Heat Shrink Tubing hanger coatings are Mil-Spec M23053/1 compliant. This tubing is designed for harsh environments where a durable, flexible covering is needed. It resists water, solvents, and oils, and provides excellent abrasion protection. Full Mil-Spec M23053/1 specifications are available upon request.

Install Notes:

To install the Neoprene wraps, slide the pre-cut pieces over the hangers until they reach the base frame, leaving about half an inch of hanger exposed for the red cap. Smooth out any wrinkles, then use a heat gun or hair dryer (no open flame) at around 275°F to evenly shrink the material, starting from the outside of the bend and working around all sides. Once the wrap has tightened and conformed to the hanger, trim if necessary and install the red caps. When properly installed, the Neoprene coating provides durable protection against abrasion and solvents for your handgun barrels.
