I never thought to buy these until I went into a Turner's one day with my two-rifle bag. I was there to sell a long gun via PPT, but because I was on the way to the range afterwards I had another long gun in there. I don't know how many of you out there are like me, but I always get a little nervous when people I do not know handle my firearms, regardless if they are employees. They are sometimes not knowledgeable about the product you may have, and I don't want them mishandling it via bumping into things and causing unnecessary scratches. Well I learned that because I did not have an empty chamber indicator, literally every single time my bag was touched (they took my rifle bag upon entering), they would remove my personal long gun and do a chamber check because there was no flag in it. And each time it was removed, I would then get questions regarding it's CA Compliancy even though it was Featureless, and another employee took it out of the bag during my PPT thinking it was being sold in a different transaction. This caused me to chime in, and the supervisor told an employee to just "put an empty chamber flag in there" and they would stop handling it after the visual check. I personally do not know if this was a one-time thing or if all stores do this, but I now put these flags into all my firearms when leaving the home.
