Snap caps contain no primer, propellant or projectile. The non-functioning, inert primer provides a soft landing for the firing pin or striker.
*Note for .22LR only:
The .22LR is a rimfire cartridge. RJK Ventures does not manufacture these products. Manufacturers are designing these .22LR dummy rounds with a centerfire rubber firing pin landing pad. Firing the gun with these will bring the firing pin in contact with the aluminum rim of the dummy round. In their purest forms, brass is slightly harder than aluminum. However, aluminum can include additives so that it is the same strength as brass. Therefore, we suggest these.22LR dummy rounds be used for safety demonstrations, magazine / cylinder tests, semi-auto cycling (loading / ejecting), but not firing the gun (pulling the trigger).
